iOS Updates

Hey everyone, welcome back to my computers and electronics blog. I'm guessing that at least some of you are viewing this blog from an Apple device right now, and that most of the people on Apple devices have the latest iOS update. I will tell you right now however, I NEVER download updates from Apple. Well, rarely. Every time I or someone I know has downloaded the update to iOS for their device something bad has happened, from the battery time being cut in half to the device just randomly shutting off. My girlfriend's Ipad mini was recently turned into a brick thanks to Apple’s new update. This update made it so that any charging cables we use that are not Apple certified cables will no longer charge the device. We were able to get different knock off cables, but nothing works.

Why Update anyways?

Is there any reason to really update your device? It is a fairly well discussed idea that any updates for iOS that came out after your device will make it run slower, mainly because any updates pushed out are designed with the newest and best Apple products, stuff that probably won't be in stores for another year. Updates will make your device slower because they just demand more. With tons of new features and functionalities expect the power to drain more and that more RAM will be used. So why would you want to waste you precious little machine with silly updates that don’t full work because your phone was bought in the fall, not the winter so it isn’t the new one. Let me know what you think in the comments below, do you update your devices or not? Talk to you soon readers, have a great one.
